Baccarat is a game of chance and is considered one of the simplest and easiest casino card games played around the world. Because of having the lowest overall house edge of typically around 1.06% - 1.17%, the player’s odds at winning is higher than any other casino game.

2. Facts about Baccarats Origin -The French word Baccarat, originally derived from the Italian word “Baccara”, which means “Zero” or “Nothing” in relation to the value of face cards and 10s. The exact origin of its creator is still in question with multiple theories of its true inventor; from the Italian gambler, Felix Falguierein to the Italian money lender, Lino Bussoli.
3. The Objective of the Game - The objective of baccarat is to bet on which of the two or three-card hands comes closest to 9 or results in a tie. There are only 3 possible outcomes to bet on in the game: the “player”, the “banker” or a “tie”. The game is played from either a 6 deck or an 8 deck shoe with two cards first given to the player than to the dealer.  Any face cards (JQK) and 10s have no value with the acceptation of the Ace having a value of 1. All other cards less than 10 are counted as their face value. Cards totals are counted as single digits only and all card values with totals of 10 and up will result with the first digit on the left being dropped and the right digit being counted as the final total..
4. Defining Basic Rules
   

   

   
   

   1. Winning hands are determined by with hand totals adding up to 9, the closest to 9 or a tie.
   2. If the hand total of the player and/or the dealer equals 9 or 8, no additional cards are dealt. This hand is also called a “natural” hand.
   3. If the player and the dealer both have the same hand total, the game results in a tie. Any bets placed within the player or dealers betting area will result in a push and all bets are given back to the player. If a bet is placed on a tie, and the game results in a tie, the winning bet payouts are set at 8 to 1 for most casinos.
